Customer Review

This is a great quality sax for the money.

I’m always skeptical with cheaper instruments but the craftsmanship and finish is pretty solid . Also, it is inspected by the seller before it comes to you, so you can be sure it works unless it’s damaged in shipping. As for the sound, it is GREAT.

Honestly, amazed that it even plays for the money – but it is actually a decent little horn!

Doesn’t play nearly as effortlessly or with as good intonation as my Yamaha YTS-62, but it costs like 10% of the price. I use this for international/domestic touring and for rowdy shows where my instruments might be at risk – my “beater” horn.

I would never “check” my expensive horns, but I let this one fly cargo on a recent European tour with my band. I have the soprano too, which again, is a great horn to accompany my very nice professional soprano, and significantly reduces my liability on the road or in dark, sweaty and drunken bar shows

Tenor saxophone Description

Mendini saxophones are the ideal musical instruments for the learner musicians and a huge addition to any level musicians, they are also teacher approved as simple to learn on.

The large bore makes it easy for beginner musicians and sax players to get a big, full-bodied sound and the fast action keys lets for easy playability for all players. The output tone is deep and rich with the even tone all through the full range.

Each Tenor saxophone is assembled with over three hundred handcrafted pieces that are all completely made by the Cecilio team. There are no off the shelf parts.

One other important advantage is that every tenor saxophone is played and tested at the Cecilio’s factory and re-tested at their Los Angeles division center to guarantee that their high-quality standards are met.

This is why many of teachers and trainers have accepted these saxophones as their standard musical instruments.

The tenor sax package also includes:

  • A plush lined nylon covered hard case with backpack strap and zippered pocket,
  • A neck strap,
  • A mouthpiece with reed and cap,
  • A box of 10 reeds (size 2.5″),
  • A polishing cloth,
  • Cleaning rod,
  • And a pair of white gloves to keep your instruments spot free when being played.

If you decide to go with the Cecilio tenor sax you will also buy with confidence as it comes with a 1- year warranty against any manufacturer’s defects.

What is even better about this purchase is that it comes with a kit. A custom hard case is included in this kit. It will fit your beautiful, new saxophone, and all the extras that come with the kit.

Conclusion

The Tenor is a very popular saxophone due to its size and affordable price range. It is priced slightly higher than the Alto sax but gives out a different clearer tone.

Many new sax players prefer the Tenor because the ease of use, it is easy to manage and probably a favorite amongst teachers. It is also the preferred saxophone amongst some of the famous musicians such as Kenny G.
